Port Talbot YMCA
Homeless Hostel
Sir Anthony Hopkins House
Port Talbot YMCA has been providing hostel accommodation for the young homelessness for over twenty years. In this time many young men have passed through our doors, regaining confidence in moving forward in their lives, not only in moving into more secure accommodation but in employment and or education.
We have thirteen units over three hostels. Hostel one has five rooms, hostel two and three four rooms. Each Hostel has its own kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry facilities. Each tenant have their own bedroom and can decorate it as they wish, with in reason of course.
Whilst being housed at the hostel, a dedicated Housing Worker, will work with you towards your goals. Our aim is to help you gain secure accommodation and to develop your own personal skills.
How to Access
To access our Hostel for accommodation, you will need to complete an application form. From here you will be interviewed by our Helen, who is the Hostel Co-ordinator. Your application will be treated on its' own merit. Social Workers, Probation Officers, Youth Workers and other professionals can make a referral on your behalf.
Like many Hostels and shared accommodation rules are in place to protect both you as an individual and other tenants as well as Hostel Staff and the building its' self. The rules are there to ensure everyone's safety and your safety is paramount to us.
If you are in need of accommodation please give us a call on 01639 887034 or e-mail us at hostel@porttalbotymca.org.uk or click on the link hostel
